Open Call for Artists
Group Exhibition | November 21 – December 13, 2026
Art doesn’t need permission.
UNBOUND invites artists of all disciplines to submit work that challenges conventions, experiments freely, and pushes the boundaries of artistic expression for our upcoming group exhibition, NO RULES APPLY.
We’re looking for work that is bold, unexpected, provocative, unconventional, and impossible to categorize.
All artistic mediums are welcome, including painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, textiles, mixed media, installation, video, digital art, sound, and live performance.
We encourage challenging ideas, controversial subjects, experimental approaches, unusual materials, and work that doesn't fit neatly into traditional categories.
There are no rules for how art should look, what it should say, or how it should make people feel.
Important Dates
October 18 — Open call launches
November 6, 11:59 PM PST — Submission deadline
November 8 — Acceptance notifications
November 9–14 — Artwork drop-off
November 21, 4–9 PM — Opening Reception
December 13, 2–7 PM — Closing Reception
Submission Guidelines
Artists may submit up to 5 artworks for consideration.
All artistic mediums and disciplines are welcome.
Application fee: $10 per submission, covering up to 5 artworks.
Application fees are non-refundable and do not guarantee acceptance.
There are no size restrictions. We especially encourage large-scale work and ambitious pieces. (*large-scale works and installations are subject to space availability and technical approval)
Artwork must be available for sale, except for sound art and live performances.
UNBOUND retains a 30% commission on artwork sales. Artists receive 70%. Please consider this when setting your prices.
Wall-mounted artwork must arrive ready to hang with professional wire or appropriate hanging hardware.
Artists are responsible for delivering and collecting their work.
Artist payments will be issued within 15 days after the exhibition closes.
Installation, video, sound, and performance proposals should include technical requirements and any special setup needs.
How to Apply
Step 1 — Submit Your Artwork
Complete the submission form with your contact information, artwork details, and images. You may submit up to 5 artworks per application.
Step 2 — Pay the Application Fee
Pay the $10 non-refundable application fee using the payment link provided. Please use the same name and email address as in your submission form so we can match your payment to your application.
Important: Your application is considered complete only after both the submission form and payment have been received.
